Jury Awards $660M to Energy Transfer in Dakota Access Pipeline Case

A North Dakota jury has ordered Greenpeace to pay more than $660 million in damages to Energy Transfer Partners, a oil and gas company and developer of the Dakota Access Pipeline for defamation, trespassing and other illegal actions involving the 2016 and 2017 protests against the pipeline.
